The capitol building and a statue in Austin, Texas

Published: 9/9/2019 September ninth, 2019

Probably the most-requested questions about my book tour was: “What comes next?”

Since I’m away from Paris and also have moved from New You are able to City, now that my book tour has ended, what exactly are my newest plans?

Well&#8230

Very little.

At this time, I’m in Austin. I must finish getting into my new apartment (so why do couches take such a long time to reach?) and, beyond a few journeys to New york city and Electricity for weddings, I do not intend on departing Austin for any lengthy time.

My passport is remaining within my drawer. I am not moving to New You are able to or Paris as well as other city. I am not focusing on a brand new book. There&#8217s no new big projects. Nothing.

For that near future, all I see is Austin.

And I’m very looking forward to that.

A tree only grows if this has roots, now that the madness of 2010 projects has ended, individuals roots can finally begin to weave their distance to our planet and supply the building blocks for more growth.

I’m able to finally enter into the main one factor I&#8217ve been craving all year long: routine.

I will enter into a much better workflow, return to a fitness center, start cooking again, occupy some hobbies, get more sleep, and even perhaps start holding monthly meet-ups.

You never know!

I did previously believe that I needed to hurry my travels, there was a lot of world to determine, which which was why I couldn’t stop traveling — because, basically did, I’d never view it all.

And also to me, which was a criminal offense.

That is why it had been always “just yet another trip.”

A part of me still feels this way.

But, the truth is, there’s no hurry. You cant ever view it all. There’ll always be another thing to determine or do, or something like that new.

And it’ll be there inside a couple of several weeks.

So, at this time, the planet can wait. I’m fed up with being on the go. I’m fed up with remaining in spaces not my very own. I’m fed up with putting on exactly the same three shirts again and again.

When that sort of burnout happens, you need to stay there.

And So I will stay there and charge the battery again named “travel.”

I do not understand how lengthy it will require. I do not mind.

I’m in no hurry to visit anywhere at this time.

I usually define travel as something which pushes you from your safe place and enables you to grow like a person. Being home and understanding how to stay there is a new adventure. This really is something I’m going to need to learn to do (it had been really tough losing out on super cheap flights towards the Seychelles).

So, in ways, I suppose it is exactly what comes next is really a deep dive into this idea known as “home.”

I’m searching toward the task.
