Travelcon 2020 in New Orleans, United States

Published: 9/23/2019 September 23rd, 2019

In the finish of June, we announced our next TravelCon and, today, I’d prefer to share more information regarding our newest event.

First, it will likely be May 8-10, 2020, in New Orleans so mark your calendars!

There exists a large amount of big changes and enhancements coming this season. The 4 big ones I wish to announce at this time are:

1. There exists a destination partner! New Orleans &#038 Company, its official tourism board, is our official destination partner, and we’ll work hard together to arrange lots of activities throughout TravelCon which get you from the hotel and round the city.

Inside a first, this season we’ll do FAM journeys and around the town pre and post the conference. We’ll be also performing a scavenger search around New Orleans (we&#8217re super stoked about this!).

We&#8217ll have specifics on in 2012. We all know it was something all wanted so we&#8217re excited to finally have the ability to offer them!

Take a look at our TravelCon page on New Orlean&#8217s website for exciting info on the town!

2. We’ll be ditching our second-night party in order to have longer niche meet-ups. Everybody loves our niche meet-ups! They are among the popular features of TravelCon, so instead of making them rushed, we’re not likely to have something that will get within their way so people can take more time spending time with their new buddies.

3. We’re adding back another incorporated lunch. Everybody needed more organized lunches, so we’ll do two this season.

4. Finally (which is a large, big change), we’re moving workshops in the primary schedule and which makes them add-ons prior to the conference. We’ve discovered that handling the workshops has shown harder than we thought. People join multiple workshops, don’t appear, wish to transfer to various workshops, or. miss the sign-up time. This leads to numerous people not receiving in to the classes they need when, within the finish, there’s space. It requires up lots of admin some time and is confusing for attendees.

Plus, the teachers feel that they need to compress information right into a really short time plus they don’t enjoy it.

So, to resolve individuals problems (and release room for additional talks), we’re moving the workshops to yesterday the conference (May seventh) and making each four hrs lengthy. Each workshop will definitely cost $99 and have a 30-day refund guarantee. Join as much as you would like. They all are first-come, first-serve.

We all know this an alteration and lots of individuals won’t like getting to cover the workshops, but this allows us to higher handle the sign-ups so everybody will get the workshop they need, spend the money for workshop leaders more, and make more room within our agenda for other talks throughout the conference.

Individuals sign-ups is going to be obtainable in The month of january too.

During the period of the following couple of several weeks, we’ll be announcing much more of our plans for that approaching event, until then, individuals would be the big schedule changes you should know about!

A Harmful Business

One factor we are doing using the talks this season is reducing the amount of panels, therefore we might have more actionable workshops instead of discussions. We’ve heard you about not wanting plenty of panels and thus we’ll minimize them whenever possible.

We’re likely to have sessions this season on the internet Analytics, taxes, IP and legalities, customer support, networking, hosting video, writing, advanced Search engine optimization, and hiring employees. Furthermore, we’re likely to be expanding the amount of talks on LGBTQ travel, Instagram, internet affiliate marketing, and creating products.

Here’s our tentative schedule, which will highlight how every day will flow:

Tickets for this year’s TravelCon are $349 until 12/31, when prices will increase to $399.

So register today before tickets have left.

And, remember, you are able to refund your ticket 3 months prior to the event and transfer them thirty days prior to the event. We all know how departure date can alter and wish you to definitely realize that if something pops up, you will get a refund.

Book Your Vacation to New Orleans: Logistical Tips and Methods

Book Your Flight

Look for a cheap flight by utilizing Skyscanner or Momondo. They’re my two favorite search engines like google simply because they search websites and airlines around the world which means you always know nothing remains unturned.

Book The Resort

You are able to book your hostel with Hostelworld. If you wish to stay somewhere apart from a hostel, use Booking.com because they consistently return the least expensive rates for guesthouses and economical hotels. I personally use them constantly.
